The Retired Seattle Police Officer’s Association is an organization of retired Seattle Police Officers. While its primary focus has be social with an eye towards fostering the continuing social contacts of its members in retirement, the organization is active and its meetings are well attended.
Changing circumstances have forced the organization into a political role. The RSPOA was one of the founding organizations in the LEOFF 1 Coalition and remained active on their board until 2008. Members of the organization have served on a number of boards and committees focused on the LEOFF 1 plan including the DRS Medical Benefits Study Group.
The RSPOA meets the second Wednesday of each month except September. The meeting are held at the Nile Country Club in Montlake Terrace and begin at 11:00 AM.
