Legislative Update 2018 | First week.

The Legislature has been in session since Monday, January 8th.  Today we have seen the first bill this session that would impact LEOFF 1

HB 2719 was introduced today.  All it appears to do is to increase the size of population for a city to be required to establish a LEOFF 1 disability board.  This would impact such cities as Mukilteo and Montlake Terrace which I believe are below the 30K but above 20K in population.  I am sure there are many others.  That means that those cites would come under the county disability board. At this point I do not have a position on this proposal.
